Nila Ann

Nila is an illustrator and creative, fluent in Welsh and born and raised near Betws-y-Coed, North Wales. She studied Art and Design at Coleg Llandrillo before completing a BA in Fashion Communication at Liverpool John Moores University.

During the Covid lockdowns, Nila moved back to North Wales from Liverpool. A return that felt like a sanctuary, shifting from chaos into calm. Deepening her connection to the Welsh countryside, culture, and language.

Her work is inspired by the landscape around her, Welsh women, and the softer, feminine aspects of life. Nila creates the kind of work she would have loved to grow up with in Wales. Celebrating Welsh identity in a modern, thoughtful, and meaningful way. Grounded in place and heritage while looking forward.
